Surviving The Blog Reality Contest – Why WeBlogBetter Should Choose Me
WeBlogBetter is hosting what is probably the biggest blog contest on the Web this coming fall, and applications are starting now!
Yes, indeed, there is going to be an amazing contest for all bloggers big or small out there. This contest is called the Surviving The Blog Reality Contest.
If you are interested in entering the contest, you need to know that the owner of the blog contest Kiesha Easley will start accepting entries for potential contestants on September 5, 2011. The deadline to enter the contest will be September 23rd at 11:59 PM EST.
Selection will be announced on October 3rd and the Surviving The Blog Contest will begin on Monday, October 10th 2011.
Why I am personally going to enter the contest Surviving The Blog?
First of all, I love internet marketing and I love blogging. I think that’s a MUST if you want to enter such contest. So, make sure you have those two MUST-have qualities, and you’ll do great yourself.
Back in 2005 when I fist decided to find a way to make money online I knew nothing about anything regarding the online world. However, I knew that there were ways to work from your own home just hooked to your computer. While I know that a lot of people might be turned off by that thought, I was personally totally turned on!
I don’t know if you remember this, but back in 2005 “blogging” was really in its infancy, and as far as I was concerned, I started hearing about blogging only early 2006. My first blog was a Blogger blog and I had no idea how to put things together and what the goal of a blog really was. To tell you the truth, I am not sure a whole lot of people did back then anyway!
However, I ALWAYS loved to write and I was simply hooked with this internet marketing thing. So, I kept on pressing, fighting ignorance of the internet, and trying to learn more and more.
Since then, I’ve started numerous little blogs until WordPress started to be THE blog platform any blogger deserving that name had to use. Today, I own 6 large blogs and a few more little promotion blogs. Beside my blogs I’ve written about 2000 articles under my name, few under pen names and some for pay. I’ve also created about 100 Squidoo and Hubpages pages.
Some of my content has gone viral and has been posted all over the place on various sites (most of them with rightful credits and few without). Either way that’s always a great feeling!
I also started writing tutorials, most of which are free giveaways. My Ezine Article Writing Secrets has also gone viral and is given away by other people even showing up on search on its own.
The best part of all of this is that my tutorials have really helped few newbies of the internet marketing world, and this is the best of the best for me.
So, why entering a contest such as Surviving The Blog Reality from WeBlogBetter and why I should be chosen as a contestant?
Here are the 10 reasons why I should be chosen for the Surviving The Blog Reality contest
1. I have been blogging for 5 years now and know quite a bit about the mistakes one should and can avoid when starting a blog. However, I have plenty of room to learn more
2. I’ve started totally on my own with no one in my network was able to help me at the time, so, I know how to work alone and it’s not fun. Learning with a group of people who have one goal and on mindset is just divine.
3. I’ve learned how to start networking and get acquainted with the right people who gave me good advice. However, I can say that internet marketing can feel like you are on a desert island, unless you make daily efforts to reach out and develop a STRONG will to move forward.
4. I believe that I have writing skills and a strong natural desire to help others who are struggling in this business.
5. I know I will benefit 200% from a contest like Surviving The Blog Reality because I will put all my creativity, writing skills and other qualities to help others into it.
6. I can bring three different cultures to the table since as an interpreter and a foreigner I know quite a bit of the European, South American and North American cultures and languages (French, Spanish and English). That could be a plus. You just never know!
7. I also have a background in acting that has helped me face any kind of situation by “acting the part” if I had too.
8. I don’t consider myself successful, yet, in the blogging business, but I have huge and tons of will that I know will lead me to an incredible success! (Come back to me in two year from now, and read these lines again).
9. I have a long story of experience, and I naturally put some of that experience in my articles, my blog posts, my tutorials, my forum posts, my emails and everything I write online.
10. The comment area on my blog just sucks. I know I have good content, but not enough visitors which include people willing to leave a comment. I can definitely improve in this area, and I believe that the contest will help me to do so.
What can I say! I think that I am just the perfect candidate for this contest!

Good luck!!
Oh, you make me feel OLD – blogging, in its INFANCY, in 2005?? When did Blogger start? 1999? I think I started blogging in 2000. Before then, I just struggled to update my web page with fresh content.
I was writing “online” back in 1989/1990.
*sigh* No – I’m not old enough to have been on Arpanet.

Hi Sylviane, I think you are the perfect candidate for Surviving the Blog.
Well, you ASKED me to write that. But, really, between your prolific pen and your promotional skills, you’re definitely an asset! I may have to let you borrow my ‘blade to, um, keep the mosquitoes at bay.
If I get selected, I’ma need it back
